Education and Career Planning

Whether college-bound, or career-ready, CESA 6 has the tools to give your students a better look at their skills and experience to guide them to the next step of their journey. 

Youth Apprenticeship

The Youth Apprenticeship program connects high school juniors and seniors with local employers to give them hands-on training to support students as they learn new skills, job opportunities, and in-demand career paths. 

Hands-On Learning

Students can work with local employers in the fields they are interested in year-round. Students spend some time during the school day on the job site to gain valuable skills and experience while earning class credit. Students can apply in the spring for jobs that begin the summer before their junior year to find the right fit for their skills and maximize their experience before receiving their diploma.

Supporting students as they find the best career path to match their skills and interests is a part of Inspire Wisconsin’s mission. Students can find opportunities across the state that can help them learn real-life job skills and the industry they want to work in. 

Valuable Skills and Experience

Students can partner with local employers to work jobs they’re interested in to see what’s ahead in their careers. Job shadowing and virtual career chats can also inform students of the opportunities and pathways to building a career in their chosen field.

Counseling for Career Readiness

Through the Academic and Career Planning and Career-Based Learning Experience programs, students can take advantage of college prep courses, in-depth understanding of industries, and insight into which job skills they need for the next chapter of their lives.
