Statutory License Stipulations

CESA 6 provides Independent Study Modules to help educators fulfill their Statutory License Stipulations. Each module requires around 10 hours to complete.

Participants have 60 days from the purchase date to finish and submit all required work. The modules are entirely online and come with all the necessary materials and resources.

Conflict Resolution

This module demonstrates key conflict resolution skills, including resolving conflicts between students and staff, helping students develop conflict resolution techniques like peer mediation, and managing crises such as violent or disruptive situations in school or during school activities.

Cooperative Marketing & Consumer Cooperatives

Applicants for licensure in agriculture or social studies (excluding psychology) must complete training in cooperative marketing and consumer cooperatives. This includes studying the history, philosophy, and principles of cooperatives, their operations in areas like production, marketing, and finance, and their role in both rural and urban settings within our social and economic systems.

Environmental Education

This module enables teachers to demonstrate their understanding of environmental topics, including natural resource management, interactions between living and non-living systems, and energy transformations. It covers how citizens can address environmental issues and the relationships between communities and their environments. Teachers will also learn to explore attitudes toward environmental issues and integrate these topics into any subject or grade level using diverse teaching methods.

Applicants seeking licensure must complete preparation that demonstrates their knowledge and understanding of minority group relations, including the history, culture, and tribal sovereignty of American Indian tribes and bands located in Wisconsin.

Minority Groups

This module helps teachers demonstrate knowledge of minority group relations, including the history, culture, and contributions of women and various racial, cultural, and economic groups in the U.S. It covers how attitudes develop and the effects of discrimination, particularly racism and sexism, on schools. Teachers must also evaluate the impact of discrimination on education and engage directly with diverse groups to gain firsthand experience.

Special Education

This module equips educators with the knowledge and skills to effectively include students with disabilities in classrooms. It covers key principles such as maintaining high expectations, using culturally responsive practices, building strong relationships, promoting family engagement, and embracing collective responsibility. Participants will learn about legal requirements for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and strategies for ensuring access to the general education curriculum through universal design, modifications, and positive behavior support.
