The Novice Coaches Academy is for supporting new literacy and instructional coaches to explore topics that help them transition into their new role.

- Types of Coaching.
- Pete Hall's Stages of Coaching.
- Introduction to Asking Better Questions.
Session 3
- Spheres of Influence.
- Strength-based feedback.
- Build your personal coaching philosophy.
- Video Protocol: Introduction to Asking Better Questions.
- Data Collection Tools for the Classroom.
Session 4
- Topic: TBD based on the needs of the group.
- Align personal coaching philosophy to district coaching mission/vision.
- Just a minute conversation.
- Looking ahead to next year and reflecting on year 1.

One (1) pre-academy, half-day, in-person session for principals/administrators

Four (4) full-day, whole-group learning sessions
- September 10, 2024

- May 1, 2025
Four (4) one-on-one virtual check-ins for each coach
